One-day diet

“Beyond any diet imaginable. I believe that alimentary behaviors capable of bettering the quality of life and health do exist”. According to Marc Mességué it is possible to diet two months per year without making big sacrifices: “dieting one day per week for the entire year is sufficient, for a total of 52 days.” There are no miracles, only healthy and constant weight loss accompanied by an improved metabolism.

And that’s no small accomplishment, if you consider that today even though we eat less, we weigh more, without mentioning that dieting one day per week does not interfere with our social life, it’s easy to do and almost enjoyable.

But what is the Mességué Diet exactly? “One day of diet and six days of regular eating per week”.

The first step is to decide which day to limit one’s appetite. On that day breakfast consists of whole grain bread and jam, a mid-morning snack of fruit, vegetables and protein for lunch (meat, fish or legumes), another piece of fruit in the mid-afternoon, and more vegetables and protein for dinner. All without adding any salt.
